Respondus Lockdown Browser for D2L

Picture of Respondus Lockdown BrowserRespondus Lockdown Browser for Desire2Learn is a new tool being offered by Respondus. But why should we even use Respondus in the first place, seeing that D2L has an excellent Quiz Tool?

One of the advantages of using Respondus is that all your Tests/Quizzes can be saved inside of Respondus, so that if ever in the processes of Replicating a course, your Test/Quiz gets messed up (as it sometimes happened in the past with WebCT) you could quickly upload your Quizzes from Respondus, without having to retype them in D2L.

You can also import a Test/Quiz in Word or Text Format, into Respondus, which also saves you from retyping the entire Test/Quiz

Another major advantage of using Respondus Lockdown Browser is that it virtually eliminates the possibility of students cheating, while they are taking an online Test/Quiz. When students use Respondus Lockdown Browser to access a Test/Quiz, they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, access other applications like Chat, or close a Test/Quiz until it is submitted for grading.
